Friends and Enemies was a free in-service day club run by
Symington and Cairngryffe Parish Churches on Monday 12th November 2012. It was
open to all children at Carmichael, Tinto and Lamington Primary Schools. It took
place at Symington Church Hall, lunch included. 20
children from P1 to P6 had a great time with a mix of games, bible stories,
quizzes and crafts. We
took the theme of Friends and Enemies. A clip from the Gnomeo and Juliet DVD
gave us a lead into the story of Jacob and Esau and what happens when betrayal
and mistrust run deep, but forgiveness makes a new start possible.
